Meet another nephew of mine! This Christmas was the first time I’ve ever met him, and he’s already this big! I guess that’s what happens when you live across the country from one another.

My cousin Kara has FINALLY moved back to Utah and I’m SO excited! Not only will I get to see one of my most favorite people in the world more often, but I also get to see her awesome husband and darling little girl Saylor more often too! Saylor is such a petite little thing. At least compared to Audrey, who was (and still kind of is) a chunky little monkey. (Note: Their size and stature are not unlike mine and Kara’s as little girls–haha).

I made the mistake of having Audrey there during this shoot. She kept walking right in front of the camera. She also kept handing Saylor random toys. I guess she knew what she was doing, because I really love this shot!

I shot this at the very end when we were technically “done”. Had to include it, blue tape and all, since I love her laughing in response to mom’s tickles.

I can’t believe that it’s almost time for school to start again! I spent this last week with my family in Lake Powell, and hearing my nieces and nephews bemoan the fact that they only had one week left of school brought me back to the days when I shared those same sentiments. Although I claimed to dread it, there was also a certain kind of excitement I felt as I thought of new classes, new clothes, new teacher, and (sometimes) new friends. My niece Emma will be going to kindergarten this year and is definitely feeling excited about it. While shopping a few weeks back, Emma, my sister, and I spotted this school uniform at The Children’s Place and fell in love with it. Emma absolutely LOVED the pink tie, and though her school doesn’t require uniforms we thought it made for a cute first day of school outfit, as well as a a fun photo shoot! Happy New School Year everyone!!

My nephew Grey is getting so big! He’s one of the handsomest little devils too. I don’t think I’ve met a happier, more content little guy. He’s full of big smiles and laughs, and you could get lost in those giant baby blue eyes of his. Makes my job that much easier.

This expression makes me laugh so hard! I love it. The best part is, he often gets this excited.

My nephew Easton recently turned two, so obviously photos were in order to celebrate. Now, I know I’m a little biased here, but I seriously think I have the most adorable nephews and nieces. Seriously. Easton is such a handsome and cool little guy! So much personality and spunk (reminds me of his daddy). I wasn’t sure how this session would go, since you never know what you’re going get with 2 yr. olds (that, and the fact he wasn’t too keen on my camera back in October when we did some family photos), but he was a gem! We just walked around and played and he hammed it up at all the right moments. Couldn’t ask for better. Okay, now you tell me: am I being biased? He’s so stinkin’ cute, right?
