I had so much fun with these two! Abby and Harrison are an awesome couple. I love that they met at the Festival of Colors. Abby saw Harrison and his friends dancing, and thought, “hey, they look like they’re having fun” so she went and joined them. Harrison noticed her right away, and here they are!

After the urban shots, we headed out to the frozen Utah lake.

The lake was frozen solid, so they wandered out onto the ice.

I can’t believe this girl is getting married! Mostly because I’ve known her since she was 13, and since I don’t feel like I’ve gotten any older, she shouldn’t have gotten older either, right? Honestly though, I’m so happy for Spencer and her fiance Aaron. I loved getting to know him during this shoot. Always fun to see couples interact together! For their shoot, Spencer knew she wanted them at the Salt Flats. We had planned for the shoot two weeks earlier, but the weather kept getting in the way. It cooperated at long last (mostly anways–it wasn’t snowing or raining, but it was still FREEZING!!), and I LOVE the images we were able to get.

Congrats you two!

Loved this shoot! Kelsey and Chad are awesome, the weather was perfect, and the fall leaves were in their prime. Couldn’t have asked for better!

I shot Amber and Josh’s engagement session on the Hobble Creek Golf Course. I’ve never shot there before, and it was awesome. You know what else was awesome? We were able to drive around the course in a golf cart. I came home and told Jake that we should seriously think about investing in one. Zipping around from spot to spot sure beats walking and hauling gear.

Had so much fun with these two. Their story is similar to mine and Jake’s in that they met in Mexico. Nate had gone down there as part of a similar program that Jake and I did. The difference between our stories is that Jake and I were both from here and were part of the same program, while Ale was a local and Nate met her while there. Isn’t it awesome how fates align to bring people together? Sometimes in the most unique of ways…

Liz and David were the winners from my Bridal Fair drawing, and we were finally able to coordinate our schedules to make this shoot happen! I’m so glad they won, because I had such a great time working with them! We traveled up to Park City for this shoot. There’s something about Park City that I just love. Maybe it’s the crisp mountain air, or the quaint little main street, but I really love it there. If it wasn’t so far away, I’d be tempted to shoot there MUCH more often.

Loved working with these two! I especially loved watching how Nick could make Kristen laugh. They were good to put up with all my “creative” ideas, like, “let’s go in this random shop over here,” and “let’s try laying on this log right here.” Yep, I’m super creative guys. Just believe it.

Dani + Mike | Salem Pond Engagements

Dani and Mike have been dating since they were teenagers. I loved how comfortable they were together. So easy to pose, and so fun to work with. I absolutely loved this shoot! Once I heard that Mike had a boat, and that he and Dani loved to go out in it and fish, the wheels in my head started turning. It was such a fun collaboration to pull this shoot together (with a big THANK YOU going out to Mike’s parents and sister for helping transport the boat and make this work). I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding!

We started the shoot up Hobble Creek Canyon, and then headed to Salem Pond for the boat shots.

10 points to anyone who can find the hummingbird. How awesome is that? It just flew right in just as we were shooting.

I met Brittany at the Bridal Fair and liked her instantly. We soon made the connection that her fiance Bobby was good friends with my little brother Aaron. The world is so small! Bobby is working out of town for the summer, but happened to come back for a weekend, prompting Brittany to check and see if we could do a quick engagement session while he was here. I’m so glad we did! Loved working with them, and love how the shots turned out.

We did a little OCF (off camera flash) on these shots. Love how they turned out.
