Love this shot

How fabulous are these bridesmaids dresses? Loved that they had pockets! Anytime a dress has pockets I instantly love it 30% more.

Instead of a traditional cake, Amber and Josh had donuts! How awesome is that?

They also had a photobooth set up where guests could get their photos taken, then paste them into their guestbook

Millcreek Inn has a fun tradition where the couple can carve their names on a “love lock” and lock it to their arbor where it will hang forever!

Despite the heat, the grounds of the Salt Lake Temple were gorgeous, as were the couple. Leslie and Patrick were so great to work with. Easily posed, and definitely in love. Sarah and Kaden were my first wedding of the season and I loved it. They chose to be married early in the morning in the Salt Lake Temple. I’m so glad they decided to be married early, as we had the grounds to ourselves. And what beautiful grounds they were! Spring was in full force and flowers were blooming everywhere. It made my job that much easier. They finished the day with a reception in the Rose Room at Thanksgiving Point. I was hoping to get some shots on the grounds there as well, but a big rain/wind storm hit so we were limited to shooting inside. It still turned out beautiful though, and I’m so happy that I got to be a part of Sarah and Kaden’s day. Many thanks to Joanna for second shooting with me!

Taryn and Karl are fabulous! The pair had photos taken of just the two of them prior to their wedding day, and hired me to photograph just the formal family portraits, the luncheon, and the candid moments. Taryn told me she wanted the day to just be about celebrating with their families and enjoying themselves. And that’s just what it was.

Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters….

A sudden wind picked up and blew Taryn’s veil. Isn’t she gorgeous?

I loved Karl and Taryn’s expressions during eachother’s toasts. So sweet

Okay, are you ready? This is a seriously huge post:

Love their shoes. Ashley found her fabulous blue beauties at a thrift store. Love it.

Dear Ashley, you are GORGEOUS (and Tim, you’re handsome)

Absolutely love Ashley’s ring. So unique and vintage.

Ashley’s cousin embroidered her amazing sign on a pillowcase. So fantastic! They also had their guests write notes to them on quilt squares so they can make a quilt out of them. Really love this idea.

Several of us spent the afternoon before picking wildflowers from the side of the road, and from this amazing property called Field of Flowers. It was straight out of a storybook. And I loved how all the flowers looked! So natural and colorful. We used them to make Ashley’s bouquet and the centerpieces.

They had croquet set up for their guests to play at the reception. So I obviously had to make them play a little bit…

Giant white balloons lined the path into the reception area; (balloons which we later tied to their car for their departure).

Rather than having a traditional cake, they had various cheesecakes with all sorts of toppings. So yummy.

Tim’s mom made the most delicious toffee for the favors. My mom makes this toffee, and it’s HARD to do. I’m so impressed she made so much of it. It was DELICIOUS. You can spot a photo in the slideshow of our friend Cameron hoarding it, it was so good. I would like to eat some right now.

Love you guys and I am SO happy for you! Your wedding was amazing and I’m so happy I was able to photograph it!

The first is my friend Marci’s wedding invite. She loves flowers and gardening, along with bright, bold colors. This invitation was SO her.

Aren’t they the loveliest things? They remind me of vintage seed packets. Absolutely adore them.

The next invite belongs to my friend Ashley. Again, SO stunning from the moment you open the envelope. (Well, actually from the moment you receive the envelope, since the envelope was pretty too!). Ashley sewed all of the little fabric pouches and her fiance Tim cut the edges. How’s that for teamwork?

Now, just take a look at these! They are printed on wood. Yes, WOOD. Thin and paperlike, but wood.
