Hi everyone! Just wanted to share the exciting news that three of my images are featured in Design Aglow’s fabulous new Modern Posing Guide! I absolutely love Design Aglow. They are a wonderful little company that offers modern templates to photographers, and I’m thrilled that a few of my images have been selected to be featured in their newest product. Just wanted to share the good news!

They met at a fireside. Michael tried to talk to Julia in fake accent. She wasn’t impressed. Though there must have been some interest sparked, because the next thing they knew they were dating, then engaged, and now married!

I adored this wedding, probably because I adore Michael and Julia. They are both super sweet, fun, and well, just awesome. It was also great because Michael is the brother/in-law of our fabulous friends/neighbors Aaron and Tandy. Which essentially means we got to spend a day hanging out with them (which was, of course, fabulous). Okay, is that enough adjectives for you? Let’s get on with the pictures!

Isn’t Julia’s dress fabulous? I think it’s one of my favorites for sure. Julia had this dress made by Shauna Shauers. Pure talent is all I have to say. If you’d like Shauna’s contact info (I have a phone number and email for her), just shoot me an email!

One of my very favorite shots. It’s not the most technically correct, but I love it for the emotion. An adorable little girl had just handed Julia this little flower and Michael decided to stick it behind her ear. It makes me happy to look at it.

Michael and Julie love rockclimbing and did it quite a bit while dating. Jake and I decided to incorporate some rock into these shots in honor of that.

We were trying to make the rings look like they were rock climbing. haha. Didn’t quite work, but I like it anyway.

Us, lately

My grandpa passed away this past week. He was my last living grandparent, and it was hard to see him go. I’ll miss you grandpa! Love you. Here’s a few shots from the funeral:

My grandpa flew planes in WWII and Korea so they honored him with a flag and taps. We also had a bagpiper play to honor my grandpa’s scottish heritage.

We also blessed Audrey last week. It was so nice to have so many great friends and family there supporting us. Thank you to everyone who came! And thank you to my mom for making Audrey’s beautiful blessing dress! I took some photos of her wearing it a few days earlier (that show off the dress a little better), but these shots are from the actual day.

Lastly, I’m FINALLY posting some photos from Lake Powell!! Well, actually, I’m not. I’m posting a slideshow of all the photos since there were so many. Please note that there aren’t any wakeboarding shots because I tried out the video capabilities of my new 5D Mark II, so all wakeboarding is in movie form. Be assured that plenty of wakeboarding took place. Also keep your eyes peeled for a little gem of a shot of me. Quite lovely I’d say. Maybe my best ever.
