I’d like to introduce my newest nephew! Isn’t he a dream? So darling and sweet. He was born almost exactly one year after Audrey. It’s amazing to look at him and think that Audrey was that small and tiny just one year ago! Just look at this little guy. SO handsome!

He has a tight little grip. After this shot his mom has to pry his little fingers off. He didn’t want to let go!

Just look at those lips!

I love baby’s yawns! They are so sweet.

Big brother Daxton isn’t so sure about Bridger yet…I think he’ll come around though

So many cute babies in this world! This little guy is no exception. He belongs to my cousin Ben and his wife Angie. Since I don’t get to see them much these days, I was happy to be able to photograph their newest addition and get to spend some time together! I can’t believe how much their older two have grown! I’m sure next time I see Liam, I won’t even recognize him.

How sweet is this little peanut? I had the honor of photographing the wedding of this little guy’s parents, and was so excited to hear that they were adding a new addition to their family! Meet baby Corbin. We’re so happy you’re here!

Don’t you just love this little peanut sack? Found it in a bag of scrap materials a neighbor was giving away. Woohoo!

Check out this ADORABLE little gal we had in the studio just before christmas. She was so teensy tiny! (Audrey seemed like a giant in comparison). Don’t you just love newborns?

Another sweet newborn! This little one was sooo sweet. A great little sleeper and went along with all of my crazy ideas. Seeing Brooklyn made me realize that Audrey is DEFINITELY not a newborn anymore! How did the last 5 months go so fast? Watch out Traci! Brookyn will be crawling before you know it….

Sweet little Preslee | Utah Newborn Photography

Oh how I love little newborn babies! They are so sweet. Little Preslee is no exception. Her mom Melisa and I were pregnant at the same time, though I was two months further along. Just enough time to recover so I could photograph this little gal! Preslee’s nursery is fabulous and made such a great location to shoot in. We also ventured outside for some shots, because really, you just can’t beat good natural light.

I can’t decide if I like this shot closer in, or farther back so you can see the flowers and bunnies. Thoughts?

We had get this shot for dad. Preslee in her little APX shirt.

Melisa had the idea for this shot and I loved it. Preslee’s tiny feet with her older brother and sister’s. Although older brother Colton wasn’t super stoked about the idea, he complied. I like how it turned out.

It’s way too fun having a model at my fingertips at any given moment. Poor Audrey will most likely have to endure many photoshoots throughout her life. I’m not really expecting her to always willingly cooperate, but she was such a peach for this one. Just snuggled right up in the basket and went to sleep (and as someone who has photographed quite a few newborns, this doesn’t usually happen so easily).

Deciding which photos to post of the millions I’ve taken is proving to be a challenge. I could keep you here all day with photos of her (oh! look how cute she is when she’s sleeping! look how cute she is when she’s pooping! look how cute when she’s crying! look at those feet! look at that hair!–you get the idea). It’s probably a good thing that Audrey doesn’t allow me unlimited computer time. SO, here’s just a few recent favorites.

Jake and I love her little smiles….even if they are usually followed up by her filling her diaper

This one makes me laugh. I had taken about 100 photos this morning and she just gave me look, like, seriously mom? Another one? I have a feeling I’m going to get this look a lot.

She’s already changed so much from this photo! Her features are looking more defined to me now

Hair washing time! Audrey’s favorite time of day. I have to admit that I’m quite jealous of this time. Jake holds her over the sink while I use the sink sprayer and wash her hair and massage her scalp. Don’t you wish you got that treatment a few times a week?

*sigh* the loves of my life! Audrey loves her daddy, and why shouldn’t she? He absolutely adores her, has changed more of her diapers than mommy and thinks every thing she does is the cutest/funniest thing ever (including peeing and pooing on him).

It’s so strange seeing traits of yourself in someone else. The biggest traits of mine that she inherited are the cold hands and feet, the nose, the bum chin, AND my struggle with waking up. I’m not a spring-out-of-bed type of person–more of a several-steps-to-wake-up-fully type of person. Here’s Audrey giving a demonstration:
