Check out this gorgeous family. You may recognize Jen and James since they are some of my favorite repeat clients. Now I had the chance to photograph all of James’ family, and they were great! It’s always fun to see families with one grandchild, because they are so doted on! Brooklyn is definitely a lucky little girl with all the love surrounding her, and it was so much fun to see how much she’s grown since I photographed her as a newborn!

Meet my awesome cousin Mindy and her cute little family! Her little boy is about 1 1/2 and it really opened my eyes to how mobile Audrey is going to be in the very near future! He certainly kept us on our toes, but was so cute, I didn’t mind a bit!

Walk With Angels | United Angels Foundation

Last weekend I had the opportunity to photograph the United Angels Foundation Walk With Angels. To say I loved it is an understatement. Just look at these photos and tell me you wouldn’t love spending a morning with such a fabulous bunch of people!

Love this girl’s reaction to Cosmo. She knows what’s up.

Bones with Cosmo (*sidenote* I totally loved this little guy. Mainly because when Jake was a little boy he had a hat just like this and would wear it. His parents have a video to prove it, and it’s hilarious)

The Flash Fox stole my camera and took this totally awesome shot. Yeah, I’m a dork. Are you just figuring this out?

Okay, so I’m a month late in blogging these, but better late than never, right? My bro Aaron surprised his wife Kayti with a photoshoot for Valentine’s Day since she’d been wanting one for a while–isn’t that sweet? Who knew he was such a romantic. I love photographing these two; they are always up for anything (so I get to be as creative as I want). I love how these turned out.

Also, for those of you who don’t know, Kayti is now my fabulous assistant! She’ll be taking care of all the back-end details (office stuff, ordering/proofing sessions, keeping me in line, etc.) so I can get some more organization in my life! Woot!

As you may know, I’m not a morning person. But it has become nearly impossible to hate mornings when you have a little cherub smiling in your face. Here’s a typical morning at our house.

1. Wake up ready for the day!

2. Drink bottle while snuggling and reading with daddy (this really does happen every morning. Jake is an avid reader and Audrey just snuggles up while he reads)

3. Seek for high adventure off the side of the bed (or sometimes under the covers)

4. Make dad explain for the 100th time why he has to go to work, rather than stay home and play

I love this family. Their son Rhett and I have grown up together and have always been good friends. I took dance lessons from both Janet (mom) and Christina (sister). Now Matt (brother) and my cousin Jared have teamed up as wedding videographers. Check them out here. Basically, this family is fantastic all around. We met up shortly after Christmas for this shoot, and it was great to see them all!

I can’t believe it’s upon us. The entire year seems to build up to this, and then it’s gone in the blink of an eye. I love this time of year because of the focus on Christ, the time with loved ones, the snow, the music, the feeling! It always ends too soon. I hope you all take the time to enjoy it! I’ll leave you with pics from my own family photoshoot.

I have had the vision for this shoot for a year now, but kept waiting for a good snow day, with a little sunshine, when I wasn’t working. Yeah, that day never came. So instead we settled for a slushy/snowy afternoon, with no sunshine, after one of my photoshoots. Thanks to my fabulous sister-in-law Kayti for taking the pics, for my brother Aaron for shielding her and the camera with an umbrella, and for my friends Katie and Mat for loaning me the sleigh!

I snapped these of Audrey and Jake while I was getting the camera settings right. Oh, I’m so lucky to have these two.

Thank you to my fabulous clients for making this such a great year! I hope all of you have the very BEST Christmas ever. I hope you are sharing it with family and friends.

Okay, I’m a little late on posting these. Once again I got caught up in the christams rush! Things are finally winding down though, and I’m just now getting to my own christmas shopping! Is Christmas really only a week away? Eeek!

So check out this adorable little family. Casee and I went to high school together, but I literally haven’t seen her since we graduated. That’s about 10 years! It was so great to see her again, meet her husband and adorable little boy, and get caught up again.

Wiggity-wiggety-wha? Is it just me, or does Will look like he’s about to break out some mad rapping skills?

Looks like he loves his toes about as much as Audrey does

Yet another fantastic family! I first photographed this family two years ago, and I’m amazed how tall their kids are getting! Growing so fast (and yes, I realize that makes me sound like a grandma).

We did this session at their home and they have some fabulous trees in their yard. Isn’t this tree fantastic?

Look at all these brothers Carly has to deal with. It’s probably a good thing though. Being as gorgeous as she is, she’s gonna need these guys around to fend off all the boys!

Or should I say Easton (and Dave and Cicily too), since we all know that we love to focus on the kids the most, right? Especially when the “kid” happens to be my very own nephew! Oh, how I love this little guy. Okay, I love my brother and his wife too. The poor things had to meet me early on a Saturday for this shoot in order to fit them in to my crazy schedule. I don’t think Easton was very appreciative of us waking him up early and then expecting him to perform. Appreciative or not though, he still managed to be as cute as ever.

Easton has a very persuasive way of asking for things. He flashes this irresistible grin and holds out his hands. How can you resist?

Definitely inherited his dad’s dimples!

Easton needed a minute to do his own thing. So we snapped a few of just mom and dad. (Don’t I have good-looking siblings and in-laws?)
