Another Camera Class!

Just announcing that I’m teaching the last camera class of the year tomorrow. There are still a few openings, so please email me at merephotography@gmail.com if you’d like to attend the class!

When: Thursday, August 25th, 5-8 pm

Where: My home in Springville, UT

What: A three-hour class designed to teach you how to use your camera to the best of its abilities. We’ll cover all the basics, and go into a few advanced topics at the end. We will also leave some time to shoot and practice what you’re learning.

Cost: $120 $75 only–since this is last class of the year!

Camera 101 Class

It’s time to announce another Camera 101 Class! Join me to learn the ins and outs of working your digital camera. Discover how to get the most from your awesome camera by learning what all those fancy buttons and settings mean. This class will also cover basic composition, natural lighting tips, and how to take the best possible picture. This class will also include some shooting time so you can practice what you’ve learned. I’m a very visual learner and teacher, so if you are too, I think this class would be a good fit for you!

WHEN: THURSDAY, AUGUST 18th

WHERE: MY HOME IN SPRINGVILLE, UT

TIME: 5:30-8:30 pm

WHO: ANYONE WITH A DIGITAL CAMERA WHO WANTS TO LEARN HOW TO GET OFF AUTO SETTINGS

AND USE THEIR CAMERA THE WAY IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE USED

COST: $100 $75 until 7/2/11 at midnight, and then the price will go back up

Walk with Angels 2011

I had the fabulous opportunity to photograph the Walk with Angels again this year. I love this event! The kids and families have so much fun, and the proceeds are all for an amazing cause–supporting parents and families of children with special needs. Here are some highlights from the event:

Studio

We’ve finally started putting the floor down in the studio! I can’t wait until it’s finished. I took these shots when we were first starting, but we now have about half the wood down (and when I say wood, I mean laminate. We aren’t as cool and rich as we wish we were).

Audrey has had a lot of fun “helping” us.

And although these next photos have nothing to do with the studio, I’m on an Audrey kick this morning, and thought I’d post these for myself. She loves the new princess dress-ups we got her for her birthday. When I showed her these first shots she said, “ooooh, two pretty Audreys!”

I’ve been sick with the flu the last few days and it’s been awful. I FINALLY had enough energy today to get myself to the computer and officially announce that I’m doing another camera class! We’ve already got some people enrolled, so be sure to sign up before all our spots are filled!

Doritos Crash the Superbowl

Guess what everyone? My little brother’s friends made a commercial (which he stars in) for the Doritos Crash the Superbowl contest, and they are one of the top 5 finalists (out of thousands)!!!! I’m SO excited and proud of him.
