Kayti and I fell in love with Liz and her now-husband Mike (photos of their reception coming soon!) as soon as we met them. They are both so genuine and kind. When Liz described her dress to us during our initial meeting, I knew it would be so fun to photograph! Her brother designed and made her dress (how awesome is that?), and I fell in love with its vintage charm. Liz was absolutely lovely, and despite the freezing cold weather (don’t let the sunshine and blossoms fool you! It was COLD), I really loved how these images turned out.

Dear Liz, you are SMOKIN

Don’t you love this parasol? I love it when my clients bring their own props. The books you saw earlier were also brought by Liz. Fabulous!

Mary is about the sweetest person I’ve ever met. Seriously. Kayti and I kept talking about how sweet she (and her whole family for that matter!) was. We met for the first time two days before her wedding to photograph her bridals. Since the entire wedding party had flown in from out-of-state, this ended up being our only time to do them. We decided to shoot at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, since her reception would be held there. It’s such a beautiful building! And Mary looked so classic in her mother’s re-vamped wedding dress…loved it.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday break. I know I thoroughly enjoyed mine. But now it’s back to work!

This session actually took place several weeks ago. My friends Rachel and Micah are now officially married and enjoying their honeymoon. Woot! I was so excited these two were tying the knot, as I’ve been friends with them for years now. Rachel was a gorgeous bride, and I’m so glad they asked me to take her bridals. Despite the BITTER cold weather (not really sure how Rachel survived), Rachel still managed to look lovely.

Meet the sweet and gorgeous Hailey. Seriously. She is both of those things and more. Even while she was freezing to death in her fabulous little dress, she was concerned about how cold I was. Me. In my down puffy coat and boots. Now that is pure sweetness. Check this girl out!

We were losing light (and it was freezing–did I mention that?), so we decided to come down the canyon a bit. It was a good 20 degrees warmer in this spot.

One word for you Hailey: STUNNING

Check this girl out. Seriously Amy, you are gorgeous. And the nicest gal you’ll ever meet. I met Amy at the wedding of Lindsey and Tyler. She was one of Lindsey’s fabulous bridesmaids. Now it’s Amy’s turn to wed and I’m thrilled that I’ll get to photograph her wedding as well! These girls are the best! Lindsey came along to help out with the session and the three of us had such a great time!

Growing up, I always wished that I had blue eyes rather than brown. I just love the blue eyes/brown hair combo. Instead, I have the brown/brown combo which I always thought was a little boring. Well, meet Julie. A girl I definitely would have had eye envy for (who am I kidding, I still do!). Pair those eyes with her full red lips and you’ve got a killer combo. Julie certainly rocked it out in these images and I’m excited for her upcoming wedding! (P.S. Jake and I were joking the other day about my blog posts because I always say I’m excited, or I had a great time, or the client was awesome, etc. But I really mean it when I say those things! I just happen to have the best clients ever, so all my sessions/weddings rock!)

…of Jake! We entered a landscape photography contest held by the Wasatch Journal and JAKE’s photo (not mine) placed in the top 20! That means it will be printed in their magazine, as well as be on display at a gallery stroll in Salt Lake this weekend! I’m so proud! A lot of you may not know that Jake does Aerial Photography and is quite good at it. Check out his website at AirUtah. I’ll be attending alone with Audrey (since Jake is at a scout camp–sad that he he’ll be missing his own artistic debut) and would love to see you there!

Lauren | Bridals

Lauren is sweet as can be and stunningly beautiful to boot. Wouldn’t you agree? I had a lovely time with Lauren and her fantastic assistant/friend Danielle (sp? sorry if it’s wrong). Lauren had already tied the knot a few weeks before, so she is one of the lucky ones who got to wear her dress a second time (oh wait, and third time at her second reception! Good thing her dress is so fantastic).

Thanks for a great time Lauren (and Danielle)! Hope the reception went well.
